Learn the art of RAKU , and discover this wonderful technique of glazing and firing pots outdoors.

Raku generally refers to a type of low-firing for Ceramics that is inspired by a traditional Japanese process. Western-style raku usually involves removing pottery from the kiln whilst at bright red heat (1000 degrees celsius ) and placing it into containers with combustible materials. This technique is what many potters use to achieve a stunning crackle glaze, smoked surfaces or beautiful copper-based metallic finishes.

We will provide all the materials and glazes you need to create these finishes and enjoy the magical process.
